CARLO PELLEGRINO Riserva Ambra - It's an excellent Marsala fortified wine traditionally blended from Cataratto and Grillo grapes. It has been aged for not less than 4 years producing a good amber taste that was popular in England in the 1970s with a high alcohol level of 18%. It is sweet on the palate giving an immense pleasure that is warm and full and persistent to give a long finish.
Colour; Wonderful rich amber Nose; Ethereal, an intense aroma of candied fruit and orange peel, hints of honey and vanilla. Food Match; Ideal with spicy and hard cheese or even cakes Vinification; It is partly fermented and then added spirit wine that has been aged for not less than 4 years Ageing; Ready but will stay for over four years in oak casks and six months in oak barrels
